Introducing Choohwa-Sanseong Bongsujae
The Choohwasan is located at the boundary of Gyo-dong and Naeyil-dong (Yongpyong-dong) of Miryang-si.
The Choohwa-Sanseong (a hill-fort) (The appointed monument No. 94 of Gyeongsangnam-do, in 1,430m circumference), Bongsudae (Smoke-signal Station) and Seongwhangsa site (Village rites) are still remained at arbor of 243m above the sea level. The name "Choohwa" refers to the mountain and Sanseong (a hill-fort) is the name of Miryang during King Kyungdeok of Silla dynasty.
There is Bongsudae (Smoke-signal Station) at the peak of north-west of Hwasan and it can be presumed to be sharing a several-hundred years of history with the Choohwa Sanseong examining a correlation between the Bongsudae (Smoke-signal Station) and the Sanseong. Choohwa Sanseong Bonsudae (Smoke-signal Station) come under Ganbongson of the second route of Yongnamjawdo Yeonjae that dispatches the torch to Chongdo Namsan Bongsudae which started from Seonghwa Yeasan of Kimhae to Bunsan -> Jaamsan -> Miryang Baeksan Bongsudae -> Namsan Bongsudae to Bungangsan.
As a part of celebration project of Miryang-si's promotion on last 1989, the city has developed the Choohwa-Sanseong (a hill-fort) as the first seat of government of Miryang to utilize it as a learning place for the citizens.
