Introducing the Apple Festival of Miryang Eoreumgol
Eoreumgol is appointed as a natural monument No. 224, situated around the skirt of Chonhwangsan, a mysterious valley only one in the world where there is warm wind in the winter and ice is frozen during the mid-summer season.
Eoreumgol, a sacred place where Yu Eui-tae's 'sacrificing oneself to preserve one's integrity; spirit dwells, (the teacher of Heo Jun; author of Donguibogam) is a popular tourist site cover with famous Gajisan, the Alps of Yongnam, Eunmunsa and Pyochungsa.
It is subject to oceanic and inland climate, forming migratory anticyclone. The daily range is extreme during the busiest season, creating higher sweetness (4 ~ 5°) compare to other regions.
There is not much rain in coloring season between September - October, eliminating sourness and creating the best apple in the country.
Although it has been a short 30 years, we would like to study and develope the best honey apples of Eoreumgol to deliver higher income for the farmers.
The Eoreumgol Apple Festival is holding every year to promote the apple and the tour industry of Miryang.
